1 st Grade Fundraiser for Heartland Humane Society

Posted Date: 04/08/24 (08:44 AM)

Both 1 st Grade classes will be walking to Heartland Humane Society to read to all the dogs and cats
who remain unadopted. This will be a service project that will empower kids with responsibility,
engage their compassion, and offer them the chance to affect the lives of others. Community
Service is one of the best ways to teach children the value of empathy. Not only does volunteering
show kids kindness, compassion and selflessness, but it can also teach them a variety of life skills as
well. We will also be collecting items that Heartland Humane Society needs to help these animals.
We will be presenting Heartland with all of the items donated the day we walk to Heartland. Both 1 st
Grade classes will also eat lunch at Warehouse BBQ. Dusty Ware, the owner of Warehouse, will be
presenting a $1500 check in our name to Heartland Humane Society for our service. Our collection
will start Monday, April 8, and will end Tuesday, May 14. PLEASE HELP US AND DONATE!
