The Ottumwa High School Cheerleaders will be hosting a cheer clinic for K-5th graders at the end of September, with a performance at halftime of the Varsity Football game on Friday, October 4. OHS cheerleaders will be teaching a dance, a cheer, and jumps. Parents need to provide transportation to and from the practice site at Schafer Stadium – use the Center Street entrance.
NOTE: Practice has been moved to the OHS cafeteria due to the addition of a football game on Monday, September 30.
NEW THIS YEAR: All K-5 students will practice and perform at the same time. This allows us to have a longer practice time so kids can better learn the material and allows us the flexibility to practice at Schafer so kids are well prepared for the performance.

Cost: $25/ per student. Please bring payment to the clinic on Monday, September 30. Do NOT send money to your child's school. Cash or Check made out to OHS Cheer.
What to wear? Students need to wear shorts/comfortable long pants, tshirt and tennis shoes to practice and to the performance. Consider bringing a sweatshirt for your child in case the weather gets colder as the sun sets.
Bring a water bottle as practice is outside and there aren't any drinking fountains. Restrooms are available.
Performance: Friday, October 4, 2024, at halftime of the Varsity game at Schaefer Stadium, Estimated performance time is 8:15 p.m.
Check-in: 7:15 p.m. on the track behind the scoreboard. You will receive your shirt at this time.
Check-out: After your child is done performing, please return to the check-in location to pick up your child.
Entrance into the game: Cheer clinic participants will get in for FREE. Parents will need to pay the gate fee to enter.
REMINDER - bring payment to the clinic on September 30, not to the elementary school!
